My birthday is slowly approaching.  And even though I don't expect to get anything if some people insist on getting me something and I know that some people do in fact insist, I present to you a list of items that you may consider so that I don't have to buy them myself and therefore save money for some baby food and diapers!

Books

DVD's

This is my wish list.  I'm sure if I spend more time on the book section I would come up with many more titles, however, for now this will do.

Of course like I said I don't expect to get anything but if you decide to get me something from the list let me know so I can cross it off so that I don't get two copies of the same thing!

Please note that items that have a line though them are already purchased for me by some good soul! Thank you in advance and I will act very surprised when I get them.

Believe it or not there are all three of my girls in this picture. My wife was about 3 months pregnant with Veronika when this was taken.

What better day to thank God for the gift of all three of them. My wife is the reason I rediscovered my faith, Natasha is the joy of my heart and Veronika is the most loved pre-born baby out there. I can't wait to meet her.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have been tagged by Puff the Magic Dragon with this meme so here it goes.

First the rules:

  1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
  2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).
  3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)

Oh boy, this is going to be difficult.  Why oh why do I have such a long middle name.

S - Spring is my favourite season
T - Toronto is where I live
A - A very difficult meme this is.
N - Natasha is the name of my first daughter.
I - I don't much like memes, however they are an easy way to have something to post about.
S - Science Fiction is awesome.
Ł - Ł is a letter that English alphabet does not have.
A - Another letter A to deal with, the first one was hard enough.
W - Wanda is my mom's name.

As for the tagging. I officially tag everyone who reads this post.

A little bit more than a year ago I wrote about the podcasts I listen to. You can find the post here.Since then my podcast listening habits have grown exponentially. I still listen to all the podcasts I mentioned a year ago, but since then many more have joined a listof my regulars.

Besides listening to religious podcasts I find myself more and more listening to technology themed podcasts (I will talk about these here). One of my favorite podcaststhese days is the Catholic Underground podcast. It is run by 2 young priests and 2 layman, they talk about faith, technology and the meeting place between the two. Out of all the podcasts I listen to this one is my favorite simply because of the similar interests I share withthe hosts.

Another excellent set of podcasts comes from SQPN which is an entire network of high quality Catholic Podcasts. My favorites includeThe Rosary Army which features Jennifer and Greg Willits who also produce the excellent video show That Catholic Show. I highly recommend any of the podcasts from SQPN butespecially The Rosary Army.

These examples show that the Catholic community on the web is growing fast, and the quality of solid Catholic content is also growing. This is great news and I hope it willcontinue in the years ahead.

If you have a podcast, let me know! I'm always looking forward to discovering new shows.
