I am very pleased to announce that on April 2 at 7:26am our family welcomed the arrival of its newest member Veronika Claire. Veronika was born weighing 8 pounds. Her cheeks the biggest in the family already are hailed as the cutest in the world.
Veronika's older sister Princess Natasha Maria welcomed the news with grace and finger pointing. She graciously surrendered the use of her infant car seat to her little sister as well as her rocking chair.
My wonderful wife is doing great. The entire experience was excellent and we are thankful to all of you who kept us in your prayers. God gave us two little angels and now it is our mission to do everything we can to return them to him as perfect and pure as he made them. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

There has not been a lot of activity around here in the last few days. This is mostly due to the fact that there have been tons of changes around here in the last few days.
First I got a brand new job with a slightly different schedule. I come home a bit later now which means I have less time to post here. I used to be able to follow several blogs at work and then be all up to date when I got home. Now I have about 200 blog posts every day waiting for me in my RSS reader.
Another thing around the house is the fact that we are just days away from having our second baby! This is a very exciting time!
All these new things are throwing my old schedule out of whack and I don't expect it to change any time soon. Once I get more accustomed to the new way of doing things I will post more regularly.
Please keep me and my family in your prayers in this time of transition.
The Golden Compass is a new movie which is coming out in December. It is an adaptation from one of the books by Philip Pullman who is an atheist who from what I hear despises C.S. Lewis and his wonderful Narnia Chronicles.
There is quite the number of articles out there talking about how horrible it is for this movie to come out, especially at a time so close to Christmas. The movie is supposed to spark an interest in kids to read the books by Mr. Pullman in which he shows of his anti-Christian side.
All of this is quite true, however I don't think the movie is a threat to me and my kids at least. If at this time the parents have not gotten a message that they should pay attention to what is being offered to our kids than I'm sorry but this movie will not threaten any child, because that child is most likely already exposed to hundreds of similar attacks. It is one of the most important roles a parent has, to filter the junk the world tries to throw at our kids. I would never take my child to see anything in a theater or on TV for that matter unless I know exactly whats it is.
It was the same with The Da Vinci Code, it was sad for me to see tons of teens reading this junk, yet I wonder how many of their parents knew about it. Sad sad sad.
This is a fight for our kids. Their future is in their parents hands. If we don't protect them no one will do it for us, thats for sure.
My wittle baby at 25th and 41st week of her life!
These are powerful words from our Pope.
It is important that today's families also hear the memorable appeal John Paul II left them 25 years ago in the apostolic exhortation "Familiaris Consortio": "Family, become what you are!".
The theme of the forthcoming meeting in Valencia is the transmission of the faith in the family. The theme of the apostolic visit to that city is inspired in this commitment: "Family, Live and Transmit the Faith!"
In so many communities which today are secularized the first urgency for believers in Christ is, precisely, to renew the faith of adults so that they will be able to communicate it to new generations.
On the other hand, the journey of Christian initiation of children and adolescents can become an opportunity for parents to return to the Church and reflect further on the beauty and truth of the Gospel.
In short, the family is a living organism, where a mutual exchange of gifts takes place. What is important is that the word of God, which keeps the flame of faith alive, never be lacking. With a particularly significant gesture, during the rite of baptism, the godfather or godmother lights a candle from the great paschal candle, symbol of the risen Christ and then the celebrant says: "To you, parents and godparents, is entrusted the task of guarding this light so that this child, illuminated by Christ, may always live as a child of the light."
If this gesture, in which the whole meaning of the transmission of the faith in the family lies, is to be authentic, it must be preceded and accompanied by the parents' commitment to further their own knowledge of the faith, rekindling the flame with prayer and the assiduous practice of the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist.
Let us commend to the Virgin Mary the success of the forthcoming great Valencia meeting, and of all the families of the world so that they will be genuine communities of love and life, in which the flame of faith is transmitted from generation to generation.
